Supporting Anxiety in Schools UK

A ‘Done for You’ Program to improve UK School Mental Health Support

Schools across the UK face unprecedented pressure to support children’s social and emotional needs. In recent years, we have seen a rise in mental health challenges, anxiety in school and Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA). External services are increasingly stretched, which means many children wait until the point of crisis for help. This places increasing responsibility on schools to provide vital support for pupils’ wellbeing.

Why do schools choose us…

The positive impacts of incorporating our program into your everyday practice are:

It is a ‘done for you’ program that can be picked up and implemented quickly and easily, with little input and huge rewards.
Staff, pupils, and families each have a toolkit and work together to help children SHINE through school and beyond, which stands for: Self-awareness, Healthy Habits, Independence, Nurturing, and Emotional Intelligence.
Staff learn alongside the pupils, with students also supporting each other, and learning replicated at home, creating a strong sense of unity and belonging.
Children move from being able to notice their feelings to catching them before they get too big, self-soothing and feeling more emotionally regulated. They can also effectively communicate their thoughts and feelings through various means to support their mental health and well-being. This results in calmer, more confident, happier and more content children ready to SHINE through school and beyond.
