MANAGED ANXIETY AND WORKING THROUGH WORRIES AND FEARS 6 WEEK COURSE.

This course was delivered to a small group of 5 parents, through weekly 1 hour sessions, online via zoom. We offered these to new groups every half term over a 2 year period.

Supporting Wellbeing

Before the start of the course, all attendees were asked to complete a well-being questionnaire. This contained 15 questions about their anxiety, how it impacts their day-to-day life, ability to socialise, enjoy things, confidence, general happiness and contentment and overall wellbeing. They were asked to score each question from 1-5, with 1 indicating “none of the time” and 5 indicating “all of the time.

Measuring outcomes

After the course, all attendees are asked to complete the same wellbeing questionnaire again. There was a marked improvement on every questionnaire, ranging from 9 points to 17. The main areas of improvement were reduced feelings of anxiety, worries and fear. Improved ability to manage anxiety, worries and fears. Increased confidence, feeling happier, more content and wanting to socialise and do things more.
